Things We Do

Fall Youth Convention – this event is a 2-day event during the Fall packed with spiritual growth and fun. It is held at a church in Sacramento and we stay over night enjoying speakers from around the country share what it is to live and follow Jesus. Many memorable moments happen on the car rides and during hanging out together, be a part of the next memory! Oh, and just to mention, there is a dodge-ball competition which we are the reigning champions!

Winter Snow Trip – this trip is designed to take relationships with each other and with God to the next level. With morning devotionals and night time messages and small groups, mixed with a bunch of time to hang out and play during the day, this trip is one of the most impacting of the year. We cook together, have snow ball fights, have competitions, build sled rides and ramps and so much more. Strong bonds are created on this trip – check out the video!

Spring Training Break – This is an overnight trip during spring break where we spend the night together eating good food together and then gathering to learn skills on how to trust each other by sharing part of lives with everyone, affirming others and reconciling relationships. The next day we are off to continue that hard work of relationship building in going on hikes, bike rides and other various activities. We finish off with a barbeque at our home.

Summer WOW Jam – In June of every year we go to Los Angeles for our missions trip with WOW International. For 10 days we get to serve communities in Watts, Compton, Van Nuyes and other surrounding cities. The youth work hard and come home changed and grateful! Check out WOW’s website: www.wowjam.com

Beach Days – During the summer we get to enjoy Santa Cruz! We spend a day at the beach just hanging out with each other, playing volleyball or just chill’n. Then at night we head over to the Boardwalk for the rides, games and fun!

Endless Summer Night – Every summer we will give the youth an experience that they normally would not be exposed to. This last summer we went to San Francisco to watch a Broadway play of Peter Pan. After the play we went to a fine dinning restaurant and community that is committed to helping people be rehabilitated in their lives. We ended the night by then staying the night at the church watching Hook on the big screens.
